| CVE-2023-54202(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915: fix race condition UAF in i915_perf_add_config_ioctl Userspace can guess the id value and try to race oa_config object creation with config remove, resulting in a use-after-free if we dereference the object after unlocking the metrics_lock. For that reason, unlocking the metrics_lock must be done after we are done dereferencing the object. [tursulin: Manually added stable tag.] (cherry picked from commit 49f6f6483b652108bcb73accd0204a464b922395) | Dec 30, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54201(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Fix wrong resources deallocation order When trying to destroy QP or CQ, we first decrease the refcount and potentially free memory regions allocated for the object and then request the device to destroy the object. If the device fails, the object isn't fully destroyed so the user/IB core can try to destroy the object again which will lead to underflow when trying to decrease an already zeroed refcount. Deallocate resources in reverse order of allocating them to safely free them. | Dec 30, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54200(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: always release netdev hooks from notifier This reverts "netfilter: nf_tables: skip netdev events generated on netns removal". The problem is that when a veth device is released, the veth release callback will also queue the peer netns device for removal. Its possible that the peer netns is also slated for removal. In this case, the device memory is already released before the pre_exit hook of the peer netns runs: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in nf_hook_entry_head+0x1b8/0x1d0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff88812c0124f0 by task kworker/u8:1/45 Workqueue: netns cleanup_net Call Trace: nf_hook_entry_head+0x1b8/0x1d0 __nf_unregister_net_hook+0x76/0x510 nft_netdev_unregister_hooks+0xa0/0x220 __nft_release_hook+0x184/0x490 nf_tables_pre_exit_net+0x12f/0x1b0 .. Order is: 1. First netns is released, veth_dellink() queues peer netns device for removal 2. peer netns is queued for removal 3. peer netns device is released, unreg event is triggered 4. unreg event is ignored because netns is going down 5. pre_exit hook calls nft_netdev_unregister_hooks but device memory might be free'd already. | Dec 30, 2025 |

| CVE-2023-54193(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_api: remove block_cb from driver_list before freeing Error handler of tcf_block_bind() frees the whole bo->cb_list on error. However, by that time the flow_block_cb instances are already in the driver list because driver ndo_setup_tc() callback is called before that up the call chain in tcf_block_offload_cmd(). This leaves dangling pointers to freed objects in the list and causes use-after-free[0]. Fix it by also removing flow_block_cb instances from driver_list before deallocating them. | CVE-2023-54173(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Disable preemption in bpf_event_output We received report [1] of kernel crash, which is caused by using nesting protection without disabled preemption. The bpf_event_output can be called by programs executed by bpf_prog_run_array_cg function that disabled migration but keeps preemption enabled. Fix it by using check_shl_overflow() in the same way that it was done in commit 515f60004ed9 ("RDMA/hns: Prevent undefined behavior in hns_roce_set_user_sq_size()"). | Dec 30, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54166(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igc: Fix Kernel Panic during ndo_tx_timeout callback The Xeon validation group has been carrying out some loaded tests with various HW configurations, and they have seen some transmit queue time out happening during the test. This will cause the reset adapter function to be called by igc_tx_timeout(). Similar race conditions may arise when the interface is being brought down and up in igc_reinit_locked(), an interrupt being generated, and igc_clean_tx_irq() being called to complete the TX. When the igc_tx_timeout() function is invoked, this patch will turn off all TX ring HW queues during igc_down() process. TX ring HW queues will be activated again during the igc_configure_tx_ring() process when performing the igc_up() procedure later. This patch also moved existing igc_disable_tx_ring_hw() to avoid using forward declaration. This deviation was discussed and agreed upon during the review process of the zsmalloc writeback patch series: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/Y3flcAXNxxrvy3ZH@cmpxchg.org/ Unfortunately, this introduces a subtle bug that occurs when there is a concurrent store and reclaim, which interleave as follows: zswap_frontswap_store() shrink_worker() zs_malloc() zs_zpool_shrink() spin_lock(&pool->lock) zs_reclaim_page() zspage = find_get_zspage() spin_unlock(&pool->lock) spin_lock(&pool->lock) zspage = list_first_entry(&pool->lru) ---truncated--- | Dec 30, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54164(opens NVD record) | High | 8.0 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: fix iso_conn related locking and validity issues sk->sk_state indicates whether iso_pi(sk)->conn is valid. Operations that check/update sk_state and access conn should hold lock_sock, otherwise they can race. The order of taking locks is hci_dev_lock > lock_sock > iso_conn_lock, which is how it is in connect/disconnect_cfm -> iso_conn_del -> iso_chan_del. Fix locking in iso_connect_cis/bis and sendmsg/recvmsg to take lock_sock around updating sk_state and conn. iso_conn_del must not occur during iso_connect_cis/bis, as it frees the iso_conn. Hold hdev->lock longer to prevent that. This should not reintroduce the issue fixed in commit 241f51931c35 ("Bluetooth: ISO: Avoid circular locking dependency"), since the we acquire locks in order. We retain the fix in iso_sock_connect to release lock_sock before iso_connect_* acquires hdev->lock. Similarly for commit 6a5ad251b7cd ("Bluetooth: ISO: Fix possible circular locking dependency"). We retain the fix in iso_conn_ready to not acquire iso_conn_lock before lock_sock. iso_conn_add shall return iso_conn with valid hcon. Make it so also when reusing an old CIS connection waiting for disconnect timeout (see __iso_sock_close where conn->hcon is set to NULL). | CVE-2022-50880(opens NVD record) | High | 8.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath10k: add peer map clean up for peer delete in ath10k_sta_state() When peer delete failed in a disconnect operation, use-after-free detected by KFENCE in below log. It is because for each vdev_id and address, it has only one struct ath10k_peer, it is allocated in ath10k_peer_map_event(). | CVE-2022-50871(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: Fix qmi_msg_handler data structure initialization qmi_msg_handler is required to be null terminated by QMI module. There might be a case where a handler for a msg id is not present in the handlers array which can lead to infinite loop while searching the handler and therefore out of bound access in qmi_invoke_handler(). Hence update the initialization in qmi_msg_handler data structure. Tested-on: IPQ8074 hw2.0 AHB WLAN.HK.2.5.0.1-01100-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1 | Dec 30, 2025 |

| CVE-2022-50867(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/a6xx: Fix kvzalloc vs state_kcalloc usage adreno_show_object() is a trap! It will re-allocate the pointer it is passed on first call, when the data is ascii85 encoded, using kvmalloc/ kvfree(). Which means the data *passed* to it must be kvmalloc'd, ie. we cannot use the state_kcalloc() helper. This partially reverts commit ec8f1813bf8d ("drm/msm/a6xx: Replace kcalloc() with kvzalloc()"), but adds the missing kvfree() to fix the memory leak that was present previously. And adds a warning comment. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/507014/ | Dec 30, 2025 |
| CVE-2022-50865(opens NVD record) | High | 7.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix a signed-integer-overflow bug in tcp_add_backlog() The type of sk_rcvbuf and sk_sndbuf in struct sock is int, and in tcp_add_backlog(), the variable limit is caculated by adding sk_rcvbuf, sk_sndbuf and 64 * 1024, it may exceed the max value of int and overflow. This patch reduces the limit budget by halving the sndbuf to solve this issue since ACK packets are much smaller than the payload. | Dec 30, 2025 |
| CVE-2022-50861(opens NVD record) | High | 7.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Finish converting the NFSv2 GETACL result encoder The xdr_stream conversion inadvertently left some code that set the page_len of the send buffer. The XDR stream encoders should handle this automatically now. This oversight adds garbage past the end of the Reply message. Clients typically ignore the garbage, but NFSD does not need to send it, as it leaks stale memory contents onto the wire. | Dec 30, 2025 |

| CVE-2025-68749(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Fix race condition when unbinding BOs Fix 'Memory manager not clean during takedown' warning that occurs when ivpu_gem_bo_free() removes the BO from the BOs list before it gets unmapped. Then file_priv_unbind() triggers a warning in drm_mm_takedown() during context teardown. Protect the unmapping sequence with bo_list_lock to ensure the BO is always fully unmapped when removed from the list. This ensures the BO is either fully unmapped at context teardown time or present on the list and unmapped by file_priv_unbind(). | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68748(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix UAF race between device unplug and FW event processing The function panthor_fw_unplug() will free the FW memory sections. The problem is that there could still be pending FW events which are yet not handled at this point. process_fw_events_work() can in this case try to access said freed memory. Simply call disable_work_sync() to both drain and prevent future invocation of process_fw_events_work(). | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68747(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix UAF on kernel BO VA nodes If the MMU is down, panthor_vm_unmap_range() might return an error. We expect the page table to be updated still, and if the MMU is blocked, the rest of the GPU should be blocked too, so no risk of accessing physical memory returned to the system (which the current code doesn't cover for anyway). Proceed with the rest of the cleanup instead of bailing out and leaving the va_node inserted in the drm_mm, which leads to UAF when other adjacent nodes are removed from the drm_mm tree. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68746(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: tegra210-quad: Fix timeout handling When the CPU that the QSPI interrupt handler runs on (typically CPU 0) is excessively busy, it can lead to rare cases of the IRQ thread not running before the transfer timeout is reached. While handling the timeouts, any pending transfers are cleaned up and the message that they correspond to is marked as failed, which leaves the curr_xfer field pointing at stale memory. To avoid this, clear curr_xfer to NULL upon timeout and check for this condition when the IRQ thread is finally run. While at it, also make sure to clear interrupts on failure so that new interrupts can be run. A better, more involved, fix would move the interrupt clearing into a hard IRQ handler. Ideally we would also want to signal that the IRQ thread no longer needs to be run after the timeout is hit to avoid the extra check for a valid transfer. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68745(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Clear cmds after chip reset Commit aefed3e5548f ("scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling") caused two problems: 1. Commands sent to FW, after chip reset got stuck and never freed as FW is not going to respond to them anymore. 2. BUG_ON(cmd->sg_mapped) in qlt_free_cmd(). Commit 26f9ce53817a ("scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands") attempted to fix this, but introduced another bug under different circumstances when two different CPUs were racing to call qlt_unmap_sg() at the same time: BUG_ON(!valid_dma_direction(dir)) in dma_unmap_sg_attrs(). So revert "scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands" and partially revert "scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling" at __qla2x00_abort_all_cmds. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68742(opens NVD record) | Unscored | — | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix invalid prog->stats access when update_effective_progs fails Syzkaller triggers an invalid memory access issue following fault injection in update_effective_progs. The issue can be described as follows: __cgroup_bpf_detach update_effective_progs compute_effective_progs bpf_prog_array_alloc <-- fault inject purge_effective_progs /* change to dummy_bpf_prog */ array->items[index] = &dummy_bpf_prog.prog ---softirq start--- __do_softirq ... __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_skb __bpf_prog_run_save_cb bpf_prog_run stats = this_cpu_ptr(prog->stats) /* invalid memory access */ flags = u64_stats_update_begin_irqsave(&stats->syncp) ---softirq end--- static_branch_dec(&cgroup_bpf_enabled_key[atype]) The reason is that fault injection caused update_effective_progs to fail and then changed the original prog into dummy_bpf_prog.prog in purge_effective_progs. Then a softirq came, and accessing the members of dummy_bpf_prog.prog in the softirq triggers invalid mem access. To fix it, skip updating stats when stats is NULL. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68741(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix improper freeing of purex item In qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb(), an item is allocated via qla27xx_copy_multiple_pkt(), which internally calls qla24xx_alloc_purex_item(). The qla24xx_alloc_purex_item() function may return a pre-allocated item from a per-adapter pool for small allocations, instead of dynamically allocating memory with kzalloc(). An error handling path in qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb() incorrectly uses kfree() to release the item. If the item was from the pre-allocated pool, calling kfree() on it is a bug that can lead to memory corruption. Fix this by using the correct deallocation function, qla24xx_free_purex_item(), which properly handles both dynamically allocated and pre-allocated items. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68736(opens NVD record) | High | 8.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix handling of disconnected directories Disconnected files or directories can appear when they are visible and opened from a bind mount, but have been renamed or moved from the source of the bind mount in a way that makes them inaccessible from the mount point (i.e. out of scope). Previously, access rights tied to files or directories opened through a disconnected directory were collected by walking the related hierarchy down to the root of the filesystem, without taking into account the mount point because it couldn't be found. This could lead to inconsistent access results, potential access right widening, and hard-to-debug renames, especially since such paths cannot be printed. For a sandboxed task to create a disconnected directory, it needs to have write access (i.e. FS_MAKE_REG, FS_REMOVE_FILE, and FS_REFER) to the underlying source of the bind mount, and read access to the related mount point. Because a sandboxed task cannot acquire more access rights than those defined by its Landlock domain, this could lead to inconsistent access rights due to missing permissions that should be inherited from the mount point hierarchy, while inheriting permissions from the filesystem hierarchy hidden by this mount point instead. Landlock now handles files and directories opened from disconnected directories by taking into account the filesystem hierarchy when the mount point is not found in the hierarchy walk, and also always taking into account the mount point from which these disconnected directories were opened. This ensures that a rename is not allowed if it would widen access rights [1]. The rationale is that, even if disconnected hierarchies might not be visible or accessible to a sandboxed task, relying on the collected access rights from them improves the guarantee that access rights will not be widened during a rename because of the access right comparison between the source and the destination (see LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_REFER). It may look like this would grant more access on disconnected files and directories, but the security policies are always enforced for all the evaluated hierarchies. This new behavior should be less surprising to users and safer from an access control perspective. Remove a wrong WARN_ON_ONCE() canary in collect_domain_accesses() and fix the related comment. Because opened files have their access rights stored in the related file security properties, there is no impact for disconnected or unlinked files. | Dec 24, 2025 |
