| CVE-2025-68347(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: firewire-motu: fix buffer overflow in hwdep read for DSP events The DSP event handling code in hwdep_read() could write more bytes to the user buffer than requested, when a user provides a buffer smaller than the event header size (8 bytes). Fix by using min_t() to clamp the copy size, This ensures we never copy more than the user requested. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54042(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/64s: Fix VAS mm use after free The refcount on mm is dropped before the coprocessor is detached. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54040(opens NVD record) | High | 8.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix wrong fallback logic for FDIR When adding a FDIR filter, if ice_vc_fdir_set_irq_ctx returns failure, the inserted fdir entry will not be removed and if ice_vc_fdir_write_fltr returns failure, the fdir context info for irq handler will not be cleared which may lead to inconsistent or memory leak issue. This patch refines failure cases to resolve this issue. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54035(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix underflow in chain reference counter Set element addition error path decrements reference counter on chains twice: once on element release and again via nft_data_release(). Then, d6b478666ffa ("netfilter: nf_tables: fix underflow in object reference counter") incorrectly fixed this by removing the stateful object reference count decrement. Restore the stateful object decrement as in b91d90368837 ("netfilter: nf_tables: fix leaking object reference count") and let nft_data_release() decrement the chain reference counter, so this is done only once. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54026(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: opp: Fix use-after-free in lazy_opp_tables after probe deferral When dev_pm_opp_of_find_icc_paths() in _allocate_opp_table() returns -EPROBE_DEFER, the opp_table is freed again, to wait until all the interconnect paths are available. However, if the OPP table is using required-opps then it may already have been added to the global lazy_opp_tables list. The error path does not remove the opp_table from the list again. This can cause crashes later when the provider of the required-opps is added, since we will iterate over OPP tables that have already been freed. E.g.: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference when read CPU: 0 PID: 7 Comm: kworker/0:0 Not tainted 6.4.0-rc3 PC is at _of_add_opp_table_v2 (include/linux/of.h:949 drivers/opp/of.c:98 drivers/opp/of.c:344 drivers/opp/of.c:404 drivers/opp/of.c:1032) -> lazy_link_required_opp_table() Fix this by calling _of_clear_opp_table() to remove the opp_table from the list and clear other allocated resources. While at it, also add the missing mutex_destroy() calls in the error path. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54019(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/psi: use kernfs polling functions for PSI trigger polling Destroying psi trigger in cgroup_file_release causes UAF issues when a cgroup is removed from under a polling process. This is happening because cgroup removal causes a call to cgroup_file_release while the actual file is still alive. Destroying the trigger at this point would also destroy its waitqueue head and if there is still a polling process on that file accessing the waitqueue, it will step on the freed pointer: do_select vfs_poll do_rmdir cgroup_rmdir kernfs_drain_open_files cgroup_file_release cgroup_pressure_release psi_trigger_destroy wake_up_pollfree(&t->event_wait) // vfs_poll is unblocked synchronize_rcu kfree(t) poll_freewait -> UAF access to the trigger's waitqueue head Patch [1] fixed this issue for epoll() case using wake_up_pollfree(), however the same issue exists for synchronous poll() case. The root cause of this issue is that the lifecycles of the psi trigger's waitqueue and of the file associated with the trigger are different. Fix this by using kernfs_generic_poll function when polling on cgroup-specific psi triggers. It internally uses kernfs_open_node->poll waitqueue head with its lifecycle tied to the file's lifecycle. This also renders the fix in [1] obsolete, so revert it. [1] commit c2dbe32d5db5 ("sched/psi: Fix use-after-free in ep_remove_wait_queue()") | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54012(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix stack overflow when LRO is disabled for virtual interfaces When the virtual interface's feature is updated, it synchronizes the updated feature for its own lower interface. This propagation logic should be worked as the iteration, not recursively. But it works recursively due to the netdev notification unexpectedly. This problem occurs when it disables LRO only for the team and bonding interface type. team0 | +------+------+-----+-----+ | | | | | team1 team2 team3 ... team200 If team0's LRO feature is updated, it generates the NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE event to its own lower interfaces(team1 ~ team200). It is worked by netdev_sync_lower_features(). So, the NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE notification logic of each lower interface work iteratively. But generated NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE event is also sent to the upper interface too. upper interface(team0) generates the NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE event for its own lower interfaces again. lower and upper interfaces receive this event and generate this event again and again. So, the stack overflow occurs. But it is not the infinite loop issue. Because the netdev_sync_lower_features() updates features before generating the NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE event. Already synchronized lower interfaces skip notification logic. So, it is just the problem that iteration logic is changed to the recursive unexpectedly due to the notification mechanism. Reproducer: ip link add team0 type team ethtool -K team0 lro on for i in {1..200} do ip link add team$i master team0 type team ethtool -K team$i lro on done ethtool -K team0 lro off In order to fix it, the notifier_ctx member of bonding/team is introduced. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-54004(opens NVD record) | High | 7.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udplite: Fix NULL pointer dereference in __sk_mem_raise_allocated(). syzbot reported [0] a null-ptr-deref in sk_get_rmem0() while using IPPROTO_UDPLITE (0x88): 14:25:52 executing program 1: r0 = socket$inet6(0xa, 0x80002, 0x88) We had a similar report [1] for probably sk_memory_allocated_add() in __sk_mem_raise_allocated(), and commit c915fe13cbaa ("udplite: fix NULL pointer dereference") fixed it by setting .memory_allocated for udplite_prot and udplitev6_prot. To fix the variant, we need to set either .sysctl_wmem_offset or .sysctl_rmem. Now UDP and UDPLITE share the same value for .memory_allocated, so we use the same .sysctl_wmem_offset for UDP and UDPLITE. | CVE-2023-53997(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thermal: of: fix double-free on unregistration Since commit 3d439b1a2ad3 ("thermal/core: Alloc-copy-free the thermal zone parameters structure"), thermal_zone_device_register() allocates a copy of the tzp argument and frees it when unregistering, so thermal_of_zone_register() now ends up leaking its original tzp and double-freeing the tzp copy. Fix this by locating tzp on stack instead. | Dec 24, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-53996(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.3 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/sev: Make enc_dec_hypercall() accept a size instead of npages enc_dec_hypercall() accepted a page count instead of a size, which forced its callers to round up. As a result, non-page aligned vaddrs caused pages to be spuriously marked as decrypted via the encryption status hypercall, which in turn caused consistent corruption of pages during live migration. Live migration requires accurate encryption status information to avoid migrating pages from the wrong perspective. | Dec 24, 2025 |

| CVE-2022-50700(opens NVD record) | High | 7.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath10k: Delay the unmapping of the buffer On WCN3990, we are seeing a rare scenario where copy engine hardware is sending a copy complete interrupt to the host driver while still processing the buffer that the driver has sent, this is leading into an SMMU fault triggering kernel panic. This is happening on copy engine channel 3 (CE3) where the driver normally enqueues WMI commands to the firmware. Upon receiving a copy complete interrupt, host driver will immediately unmap and frees the buffer presuming that hardware has processed the buffer. In the issue case, upon receiving copy complete interrupt, host driver will unmap and free the buffer but since hardware is still accessing the buffer (which in this case got unmapped in parallel), SMMU hardware will trigger an SMMU fault resulting in a kernel panic. In order to avoid this, as a work around, add a delay before unmapping the copy engine source DMA buffer. This is conditionally done for WCN3990 and only for the CE3 channel where issue is seen. | CVE-2025-68341(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: veth: reduce XDP no_direct return section to fix race As explain in commit fa349e396e48 ("veth: Fix race with AF_XDP exposing old or uninitialized descriptors") for veth there is a chance after napi_complete_done() that another CPU can manage start another NAPI instance running veth_pool(). For NAPI this is correctly handled as the napi_schedule_prep() check will prevent multiple instances from getting scheduled, but for the remaining code in veth_pool() this can run concurrent with the newly started NAPI instance. The problem/race is that xdp_clear_return_frame_no_direct() isn't designed to be nested. Prior to commit 401cb7dae813 ("net: Reference bpf_redirect_info via task_struct on PREEMPT_RT.") the temporary BPF net context bpf_redirect_info was stored per CPU, where this wasn't an issue. Since this commit the BPF context is stored in 'current' task_struct. When running veth in threaded-NAPI mode, then the kthread becomes the storage area. Now a race exists between two concurrent veth_pool() function calls one exiting NAPI and one running new NAPI, both using the same BPF net context. Race is when another CPU gets within the xdp_set_return_frame_no_direct() section before exiting veth_pool() calls the clear-function xdp_clear_return_frame_no_direct(). | Dec 23, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-68340(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: team: Move team device type change at the end of team_port_add Attempting to add a port device that is already up will expectedly fail, but not before modifying the team device header_ops. In the case of the syzbot reproducer the gre0 device is already in state UP when it attempts to add it as a port device of team0, this fails but before that header_ops->create of team0 is changed from eth_header to ipgre_header in the call to team_dev_type_check_change. Later when we end up in ipgre_header() struct ip_tunnel* points to nonsense as the private data of the device still holds a struct team. Example sequence of iproute2 commands to reproduce the hang/BUG(): ip link add dev team0 type team ip link add dev gre0 type gre ip link set dev gre0 up ip link set dev gre0 master team0 ip link set dev team0 up ping -I team0 1.1.1.1 Move team_dev_type_check_change down where all other checks have passed as it changes the dev type with no way to restore it in case one of the checks that follow it fail. Also make sure to preserve the origial mtu assignment: - If port_dev is not the same type as dev, dev takes mtu from port_dev - If port_dev is the same type as dev, port_dev takes mtu from dev This is done by adding a conditional before the call to dev_set_mtu to prevent it from assigning port_dev->mtu = dev->mtu and instead letting team_dev_type_check_change assign dev->mtu = port_dev->mtu. The conditional is needed because the patch moves the call to team_dev_type_check_change past dev_set_mtu. Testing: - team device driver in-tree selftests - Add/remove various devices as slaves of team device - syzbot | Dec 23, 2025 |

There have been many inconsistencies in the file system data. In the case of file system data inconsistency, for example, if the block bitmap of a referenced block is not set, it can lead to the situation where a block being committed is allocated and used again. As a result, the following condition will not be satisfied then trigger BUG_ON. Of course, it is entirely possible to construct a problematic image that can trigger this BUG_ON through specific operations. In fact, I have constructed such an image and easily reproduced this issue. Therefore, J_ASSERT() holds true only under ideal conditions, but it may not necessarily be satisfied in exceptional scenarios. Using J_ASSERT() directly in abnormal situations would cause the system to crash, which is clearly not what we want. So here we directly trigger a JBD abort instead of immediately invoking BUG_ON. | Dec 22, 2025 |

| CVE-2025-14733(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.8 | An Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS iked process may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects both the mobile user VPN with IKEv2 and the branch office VPN using IKEv2 when configured with a dynamic gateway peer. If the Firebox was previously configured with the mobile user VPN with IKEv2 or a branch office VPN using IKEv2 to a dynamic gateway peer, and both of those configurations have since been deleted, that Firebox may still be vulnerable if a branch office VPN to a static gateway peer is still configured. | Dec 19, 2025 |
