| CVE-2024-45091(opens NVD record) | Medium | 6.2 | IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) 7.0 through 7.0.5.24, 7.1 through 7.1.2.10, and 7.2 through 7.2.3.13 stores potentially sensitive information in log files that could be read by a local user with access to HTTP request logs. | Jan 21, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-24014(opens NVD record) | Medium | 4.2 | Vim is an open source, command line text editor. A segmentation fault was found in Vim before 9.1.1043. In silent Ex mode (-s -e), Vim typically doesn't show a screen and just operates silently in batch mode. However, it is still possible to trigger the function that handles the scrolling of a gui version of Vim by feeding some binary characters to Vim. The function that handles the scrolling however may be triggering a redraw, which will access the ScreenLines pointer, even so this variable hasn't been allocated (since there is no screen). This vulnerability is fixed in 9.1.1043. | Jan 20, 2025 |
| CVE-2024-13454(opens NVD record) | Medium | 5.3 | Weak encryption algorithm in Easy-RSA version 3.0.5 through 3.1.7 allows a local attacker to more easily bruteforce the private CA key when created using OpenSSL 3 | Jan 20, 2025 |

| CVE-2025-21655(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/eventfd: ensure io_eventfd_signal() defers another RCU period io_eventfd_do_signal() is invoked from an RCU callback, but when dropping the reference to the io_ev_fd, it calls io_eventfd_free() directly if the refcount drops to zero. This isn't correct, as any potential freeing of the io_ev_fd should be deferred another RCU grace period. Just call io_eventfd_put() rather than open-code the dec-and-test and free, which will correctly defer it another RCU grace period. | Jan 20, 2025 |
| CVE-2023-52923(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: adapt set backend to use GC transaction API Use the GC transaction API to replace the old and buggy gc API and the busy mark approach. No set elements are removed from async garbage collection anymore, instead the _DEAD bit is set on so the set element is not visible from lookup path anymore. Async GC enqueues transaction work that might be aborted and retried later. rbtree and pipapo set backends does not set on the _DEAD bit from the sync GC path since this runs in control plane path where mutex is held. In this case, set elements are deactivated, removed and then released via RCU callback, sync GC never fails. | Jan 20, 2025 |

| CVE-2024-57929(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm array: fix releasing a faulty array block twice in dm_array_cursor_end When dm_bm_read_lock() fails due to locking or checksum errors, it releases the faulty block implicitly while leaving an invalid output pointer behind. The caller of dm_bm_read_lock() should not operate on this invalid dm_block pointer, or it will lead to undefined result. For example, the dm_array_cursor incorrectly caches the invalid pointer on reading a faulty array block, causing a double release in dm_array_cursor_end(), then hitting the BUG_ON in dm-bufio cache_put(). | CVE-2024-57924(opens NVD record) | Medium | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: relax assertions on failure to encode file handles Encoding file handles is usually performed by a filesystem >encode_fh() method that may fail for various reasons. The legacy users of exportfs_encode_fh(), namely, nfsd and name_to_handle_at(2) syscall are ready to cope with the possibility of failure to encode a file handle. There are a few other users of exportfs_encode_{fh,fid}() that currently have a WARN_ON() assertion when ->encode_fh() fails. Relax those assertions because they are wrong. The second linked bug report states commit 16aac5ad1fa9 ("ovl: support encoding non-decodable file handles") in v6.6 as the regressing commit, but this is not accurate. The aforementioned commit only increases the chances of the assertion and allows triggering the assertion with the reproducer using overlayfs, inotify and drop_caches. Triggering this assertion was always possible with other filesystems and other reasons of ->encode_fh() failures and more particularly, it was also possible with the exact same reproducer using overlayfs that is mounted with options index=on,nfs_export=on also on kernels < v6.6. Therefore, I am not listing the aforementioned commit as a Fixes commit. Backport hint: this patch will have a trivial conflict applying to v6.6.y, and other trivial conflicts applying to stable kernels < v6.6. | Jan 19, 2025 |
| CVE-2024-57921(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Add a lock when accessing the buddy trim function When running YouTube videos and Steam games simultaneously, the tester found a system hang / race condition issue with the multi-display configuration setting. | CVE-2024-57917(opens NVD record) | High | 7.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: topology: Keep the cpumask unchanged when printing cpumap During fuzz testing, the following warning was discovered: different return values (15 and 11) from vsnprintf("%*pbl ", ...) test:keyward is WARNING in kvasprintf WARNING: CPU: 55 PID: 1168477 at lib/kasprintf.c:30 kvasprintf+0x121/0x130 Call Trace: kvasprintf+0x121/0x130 kasprintf+0xa6/0xe0 bitmap_print_to_buf+0x89/0x100 core_siblings_list_read+0x7e/0xb0 kernfs_file_read_iter+0x15b/0x270 new_sync_read+0x153/0x260 vfs_read+0x215/0x290 ksys_read+0xb9/0x160 do_syscall_64+0x56/0x100 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x78/0xe2 The call trace shows that kvasprintf() reported this warning during the printing of core_siblings_list. kvasprintf() has several steps: (1) First, calculate the length of the resulting formatted string. (2) Allocate a buffer based on the returned length. (3) Then, perform the actual string formatting. (4) Check whether the lengths of the formatted strings returned in steps (1) and (2) are consistent. If the core_cpumask is modified between steps (1) and (3), the lengths obtained in these two steps may not match. Indeed our test includes cpu hotplugging, which should modify core_cpumask while printing. To fix this issue, cache the cpumask into a temporary variable before calling cpumap_print_{list, cpumask}_to_buf(), to keep it unchanged during the printing process. | Jan 19, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-21650(opens NVD record) | High | 7.1 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: fixed hclge_fetch_pf_reg accesses bar space out of bounds issue The TQP BAR space is divided into two segments. TQPs 0-1023 and TQPs 1024-1279 are in different BAR space addresses. However, hclge_fetch_pf_reg does not distinguish the tqp space information when reading the tqp space information. When the number of TQPs is greater than 1024, access bar space overwriting occurs. The problem of different segments has been considered during the initialization of tqp.io_base. Therefore, tqp.io_base is directly used when the queue is read in hclge_fetch_pf_reg. | CVE-2025-21647(opens NVD record) | High | 7.3 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched: sch_cake: add bounds checks to host bulk flow fairness counts Even though we fixed a logic error in the commit cited below, syzbot still managed to trigger an underflow of the per-host bulk flow counters, leading to an out of bounds memory access. To avoid any such logic errors causing out of bounds memory accesses, this commit factors out all accesses to the per-host bulk flow counters to a series of helpers that perform bounds-checking before any increments and decrements. This also has the benefit of improving readability by moving the conditional checks for the flow mode into these helpers, instead of having them spread out throughout the code (which was the cause of the original logic error). As part of this change, the flow quantum calculation is consolidated into a helper function, which means that the dithering applied to the ost load scaling is now applied both in the DRR rotation and when a sparse flow's quantum is first initiated. The only user-visible effect of this is that the maximum packet size that can be sent while a flow stays sparse will now vary with +/- one byte in some cases. This should not make a noticeable difference in practice, and thus it's not worth complicating the code to preserve the old behaviour. | Jan 19, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-21646(opens NVD record) | High | 7.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix the maximum cell name length The kafs filesystem limits the maximum length of a cell to 256 bytes, but a problem occurs if someone actually does that: kafs tries to create a directory under /proc/net/afs/ with the name of the cell, but that fails with a warning: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 9 at fs/proc/generic.c:405 because procfs limits the maximum filename length to 255. However, the DNS limits the maximum lookup length and, by extension, the maximum cell name, to 255 less two (length count and trailing NUL). Fix this by limiting the maximum acceptable cellname length to 253. This also allows us to be sure we can create the "/afs/.<cell>/" mountpoint too. Further, split the YFS VL record cell name maximum to be the 256 allowed by the protocol and ignore the record retrieved by YFSVL.GetCellName if it exceeds 253. | Jan 19, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-21645(opens NVD record) | Medium | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/pmc: Only disable IRQ1 wakeup where i8042 actually enabled it Wakeup for IRQ1 should be disabled only in cases where i8042 had actually enabled it, otherwise "wake_depth" for this IRQ will try to drop below zero and there will be an unpleasant WARN() logged: kernel: atkbd serio0: Disabling IRQ1 wakeup source to avoid platform firmware bug kernel: ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel: Unbalanced IRQ 1 wake disable kernel: WARNING: CPU: 10 PID: 6431 at kernel/irq/manage.c:920 irq_set_irq_wake+0x147/0x1a0 The PMC driver uses DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() to define its dev_pm_ops which sets amd_pmc_suspend_handler() to the .suspend, .freeze, and .poweroff handlers. i8042_pm_suspend(), however, is only set as the .suspend handler. Fix the issue by call PMC suspend handler only from the same set of dev_pm_ops handlers as i8042_pm_suspend(), which currently means just the .suspend handler. To reproduce this issue try hibernating (S4) the machine after a fresh boot without putting it into s2idle first. [ij: edited the commit message.] | Jan 19, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-21640(opens NVD record) | High | 7.1 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: sysctl: cookie_hmac_alg: avoid using current->nsproxy As mentioned in a previous commit of this series, using the 'net' structure via 'current' is not recommended for different reasons: - Inconsistency: getting info from the reader's/writer's netns vs only from the opener's netns. - current->nsproxy can be NULL in some cases, resulting in an 'Oops' (null-ptr-deref), e.g. when the current task is exiting, as spotted by syzbot [1] using acct(2). The 'net' structure can be obtained from the table->data using container_of(). Note that table->data could also be used directly, as this is the only member needed from the 'net' structure, but that would increase the size of this fix, to use '*data' everywhere 'net->sctp.sctp_hmac_alg' is used. | Jan 19, 2025 |
| CVE-2025-21638(opens NVD record) | High | 7.1 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: sysctl: auth_enable: avoid using current->nsproxy As mentioned in a previous commit of this series, using the 'net' structure via 'current' is not recommended for different reasons: - Inconsistency: getting info from the reader's/writer's netns vs only from the opener's netns. - current->nsproxy can be NULL in some cases, resulting in an 'Oops' (null-ptr-deref), e.g. when the current task is exiting, as spotted by syzbot [1] using acct(2). The 'net' structure can be obtained from the table->data using container_of().
