| CVE-2024-9666(opens NVD record) | Medium | 4.7 | A vulnerability was found in the Keycloak Server. The Keycloak Server is vulnerable to a denial of service (DoS) attack due to improper handling of proxy headers. When Keycloak is configured to accept incoming proxy headers, it may accept non-IP values, such as obfuscated identifiers, without proper validation. This issue can lead to costly DNS resolution operations, which an attacker could exploit to tie up IO threads and potentially cause a denial of service. The attacker must have access to send requests to a Keycloak instance that is configured to accept proxy headers, specifically when reverse proxies do not overwrite incoming headers, and Keycloak is configured to trust these headers. | Nov 25, 2024 |
| CVE-2024-10492(opens NVD record) | Low | 2.7 | A vulnerability was found in Keycloak. A user with high privileges could read sensitive information from a Vault file that is not within the expected context. This attacker must have previous high access to the Keycloak server in order to perform resource creation, for example, an LDAP provider configuration and set up a Vault read file, which will only inform whether that file exists or not. | Nov 25, 2024 |
| CVE-2024-10451(opens NVD record) | Medium | 5.9 | A flaw was found in Keycloak. This issue occurs because sensitive runtime values, such as passwords, may be captured during the Keycloak build process and embedded as default values in bytecode, leading to unintended information disclosure. In Keycloak 26, sensitive data specified directly in environment variables during the build process is also stored as a default values, making it accessible during runtime. Indirect usage of environment variables for SPI options and Quarkus properties is also vulnerable due to unconditional expansion by PropertyMapper logic, capturing sensitive data as default values in all Keycloak versions up to 26.0.2. | Nov 25, 2024 |
| CVE-2024-10270(opens NVD record) | Medium | 6.5 | A vulnerability was found in the Keycloak-services package. If untrusted data is passed to the SearchQueryUtils method, it could lead to a denial of service (DoS) scenario by exhausting system resources due to a Regex complexity. | Nov 25, 2024 |

| CVE-2024-53095(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: Fix use-after-free of network namespace. Recently, we got a customer report that CIFS triggers oops while reconnecting to a server. [0] The workload runs on Kubernetes, and some pods mount CIFS servers in non-root network namespaces. The problem rarely happened, but it was always while the pod was dying. The root cause is wrong reference counting for network namespace. CIFS uses kernel sockets, which do not hold refcnt of the netns that the socket belongs to. That means CIFS must ensure the socket is always freed before its netns; otherwise, use-after-free happens. The repro steps are roughly: 1. mount CIFS in a non-root netns 2. drop packets from the netns 3. destroy the netns 4. unmount CIFS We can reproduce the issue quickly with the script [1] below and see the splat [2] if CONFIG_NET_NS_REFCNT_TRACKER is enabled. When the socket is TCP, it is hard to guarantee the netns lifetime without holding refcnt due to async timers. Let's hold netns refcnt for each socket as done for SMC in commit 9744d2bf1976 ("smc: Fix use-after-free in tcp_write_timer_handler()."). Note that we need to move put_net() from cifs_put_tcp_session() to clean_demultiplex_info(); otherwise, __sock_create() still could touch a freed netns while cifsd tries to reconnect from cifs_demultiplex_thread(). Also, maybe_get_net() cannot be put just before __sock_create() because the code is not under RCU and there is a small chance that the same address happened to be reallocated to another netns. | CVE-2024-53094(opens NVD record) | Critical | 9.8 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/siw: Add sendpage_ok() check to disable MSG_SPLICE_PAGES While running ISER over SIW, the initiator machine encounters a warning from skb_splice_from_iter() indicating that a slab page is being used in send_page. To address this, it is better to add a sendpage_ok() check within the driver itself, and if it returns 0, then MSG_SPLICE_PAGES flag should be disabled before entering the network stack. A similar issue has been discussed for NVMe in this thread: https://lore.kernel.org/all/20240530142417.146696-1-ofir.gal@volumez.com/ WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 5342 at net/core/skbuff.c:7140 skb_splice_from_iter+0x173/0x320 Call Trace: tcp_sendmsg_locked+0x368/0xe40 siw_tx_hdt+0x695/0xa40 [siw] siw_qp_sq_process+0x102/0xb00 [siw] siw_sq_resume+0x39/0x110 [siw] siw_run_sq+0x74/0x160 [siw] kthread+0xd2/0x100 ret_from_fork+0x34/0x40 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 | Nov 21, 2024 |
